Stamper Starr is a Cleveland based duo that applies a soulful, Blues interpretation to an array of genres.
Natalie and Frankie joined forces in 2018. Since then, they have brought us their unique approach to Blues and other styles. Combining Natalie’s powerhouse vocals, Frankie’s commanding guitar style, with their mutual attention to the groove, they are quite the unique musical duo.
Natalie Stamper is a West Virginia native who adopted Ohio as her home. Growing up in a community with no live music, Natalie fell in love with Bluegrass and grew to love all genres. Her biggest influences as a singer/songwriter are Rhythm & Blues and Motown, and she cites artists such as Teena Marie, LouAnn Barton, Prince, and Linda Ronstadt as inspiration. Natalie’s controlled, powerhouse vocals wow audiences and her sincerity touches their hearts.
Frankie Starr is a native Clevelander and local music legend. At the young age of 10, this child prodigy started out as a drummer in his mother’s band and picking up a guitar every chance he could. There are few music fans in Cleveland who haven’t heard of the amazing Frankie Starr. His warm, bright playing style resonates with Blues-lovers as well as his unmatched tone. His biggest influences are B.B. King and Stevie Ray Vaughan, both of which he opened for as well as many other greats!
